Displayed reference years run from 2018 to 2025. These are each indicator's published periods, not a single-year country snapshot. A comparison may use an older common period; follow Compare to check it.
Reading this country's figures together
The notes below use the currently published values. Years and sources may differ across indicators.
Yemen's published GDP per capita refers to 2018. Do not treat it as today's economic level or directly compare it with another country's newer GDP. Population and life expectancy below may refer to different periods. Compare uses GDP from a period available for both countries; without a common period it does not create a difference.
This is an economy-wide average, not a person's salary or a household's disposable income. The same average can coexist with different income distributions.
Population size and population change answer different questions. A total counts residents; change requires a comparison across periods within the same source series.
Life expectancy at birth is neither the average age of living residents nor an individual's remaining lifespan. It summarizes mortality conditions; median age describes population composition.
