About the service
About OrbisLens
OrbisLens is a country data service for understanding and comparing the world through trusted official data.
Who the service is for
This is an exploration tool for people starting country research, students, educators and writers who need sources, and users comparing country statistics. It does not make personal migration, investment or medical decisions.
How to read the data
We use publicly available data from official distributors such as the World Bank and UN DESA. Values are presented with their reference period, source, dataset and quality context. Series with different sources, units or period types are not silently combined.
What you can explore
Explore country profiles and trends, compare countries on a common period, and review country values and eligible rankings by indicator.
Comparison and data limits
A country card's latest value can differ from two countries' latest common period. Ranks use same-period, same-source, same-unit published numeric values; missing values are not filled with zero. Trends require sufficient published data, and Radar is not an overall country score.
Data dates and editorial dates
Official revisions and publication delays can change displayed values. A reference period is the time described by a value; a guide's editorial update is the date its text changed. Hypothetical teaching examples are distinguished from examples using currently published values. This is not an official website of the source organizations.
Reporting and correcting errors
Email contact@orbislens.com with the page URL, country, indicator, reference period and official source you checked. We compare the source value, unit and period to distinguish a display error from a source revision before making a needed correction. A request alone does not change a statistic or guarantee a completed correction.
